Virginia Isbell Cooper "Ginnybell"

June 21, 1941 — August 30, 2024

Virginia Isbell Cooper "Ginny/ Ginnybell”, age 83, was born on June 21, 1941, in Phillips Tx. to parents Walter D. Isbell and Lucille Hoffman Isbell. Ginny passed peacefully away on August 30, 2024, in College Station, Texas, with her daughter by her side.

In her senior year in high school 1959, she joined Beta Sigma Phi, a service-oriented sorority. She made many friends in the different chapters as she moved from town to town. She was also a member of the DOES in Harlingen, Texas, from 1986-1992.

In 1988 she served as president of the DOES Harlingen chapter.

Ginny was a secretary in her professional career until she retired in 1992.

She was survived in death by her daughter Courtney Mosmeyer and husband Dane, and her son Kurk Fowler, all from College Station. Her stepchildren, Paul Cooper and wife Lanetta of Midland, and Philip Cooper of Colorado.

Her grandchildren Austin Fowler of College Station, Kendra Cooper Coleman and husband Jeff of Midland, Kari Cooper Hair and husband Tim of Midland, and Kyle Cooper and wife Karen of Houston. As well as her 7 wonderful great grandchildren!! She also leaves behind many great friends and family members too numerous to count!! She wanted to thank Sheliah Clark and Debbie Townsend for their home care help during the last 5 years.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Walter D. Isbell, Lucille Hoffman Isbell, her sister and brother-in-law Janet Isbell Amyotte and Jim Amyotte, and her husband Bill Cooper. As well as her ex-husband Melvin Fowler and daughter in law Tricia Clissold Fowler.

Ginny enjoyed traveling, watching local dirt bike races, and lots of family gatherings! She liked homemade food, a good drink, and some tall tales! She loved going to The Beer Joint where she made many new friends these last few years! 

Her celebration of life will be held at the Beer Joint on Saturday September 28 at 2:00 pm.

Smoked sausage and pulled pork will be available. Potluck for those that are able to bring something please do!
