Tommy Lee McCarty

July 26, 1936 — December 11, 2025

On July 26, 1936, in Beaumont, Texas, the world welcomed Tommy Lee McCarty — a man whose kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family would touch countless hearts throughout his 89 years. On December 11, 2025, Tommy peacefully went home to the Lord, surrounded by his beloved wife and family, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, strength, and devotion that will continue to echo through the generations.

Born to Lillian McCarty and Glenn Leonard McCarty, Tommy grew up with values that shaped the man he became integrity, hard work, and a deep appreciation for life’s simple blessings.

Tommy was happiest outdoors. Whether casting a line across still waters, quietly watching for deer at daybreak, or tending to his plants with his natural green thumb, he found joy in nature’s gentle rhythms. Holidays were especially dear to him — moments filled with family laughter, shared meals, and the magic of simply being together.

Those who knew Tommy will forever remember his humor. A true jokester, he had a gift for lifting spirits, breaking tension, and brightening even the hardest days with his quick wit and playful grin. In his younger years, he cared deeply for his animals, and throughout his life he carried a spirit of adventure — none greater than the miles he traveled riding motorcycles beside the love of his life, Sandra McCarty.

Tommy was a hardworking man to his core. He dedicated many years to the oil field before moving into tree work, where his determination, strength, and steady work ethic spoke louder than any words. He took pride in every task and earned the respect of all who worked beside him.

Above all else, Tommy’s greatest joy was his family and sharing the gospel of Jesus. He loved telling everyone he could about His Jesus and the love Jesus had for His children.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra McCarty; his children, Michael McCarty (wife, Becky McCarty), Tonya Baker, and Crystal McCarty; his loving grandchildren: Blake Baker, Anna Moreno, Brianca Moreno, Justin McCarty, Tiffany McCarty, Kayden Michael McCarty and Brittany McCartney; and nine great-grandchildren, who brought even more joy to his life.

He is also survived by his brother, Ruffin McCarty, and his sisters, Barbara Tull and Joann Walker, and numerous nieces and nephews, along with many extended family members who loved him deeply.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Faye McCarty, Betty Perthuis and Joyce Klein; and his brother CeCe McCarty.

Tommy’s life was a testament to love, family, and resilience. His laughter, his stories, his strength, and the memories he created will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
