Thomas was born in Bellaire, Texas, to Thomas L. Beltrand, Sr. and Constance W. Davenport, and grew up in College Station, Texas. He spent most of his life on the open road as a dedicated long-haul truck driver, a career he took great pride in. Known for his professionalism and commitment to safety, Thomas achieved an outstanding record of 2.5 million safe miles during his career.
Outside of work, Thomas was known for his love of drag racing, fishing, and model trains. These passions reflected his curiosity, patience, and appreciation for both speed and detail. Those who knew him best often described him as rough around the edges, but with a heart of gold—a man whose loyalty and care ran deeper than his words.
Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela Beltrand, with whom he shared 35 years together and 30 years of marriage; his children, Michael J. Coulson, Jr., Christopher Coulson, Kelly Barry, and Scott Coulson; and his siblings, Danny Beltrand, Mary Carney, and Nancy Tewell.
A graveside service will be held at Wheelock Cemetery on January 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
Thomas will be remembered for his grit, his humor, and the quiet generosity of spirit he showed to those fortunate enough to know him.
