Our bright and beautiful little boy, Stetson Ryder Caywood, 2, of Rockdale, Texas earned his angel wings on June 20, 2026. Born on March 19, 2024 to loving parents Charles and Kelsey.
Stetson filled lives with endless love and light. Though his time with us was brief, we cherished everyday with him as he was a true gift from God. He was a warrior from the moment he took his first breath spending 73 days in the NICU fighting all odds against him. It wasn’t an easy journey but it was HIS journey, HIS story. One that showed strength, miracles and many blessings along the way.
Stetson had a sweet-silly personality. He loved his nurses, he loved when they played, interacted with him and made him laugh. When it was time to wind down, nothing relaxed him quite like watching Bluey and some of his favorite shows. He looked forward to therapy every week. Learning new things, advancing to next steps and just putting the smiles on others face. He loved his team, he loved his brothers, his Mimi especially when she told him all about Jesus and how much he was loved by him but most of all he loved HIS parents. They were his safety, his chosen and his forever.
Stetson brought immense warmth to everyone who had the privilege of holding him or just loving on him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory; his devoted parents, Charles Caywood and Kelsey Hill; his big brothers Gunnar and Trigger Hill, big sister Esme Caywood, baby brother Weston Caywood, his grandparents Mitzi Doulder, Keith Musick, Tish Musick, and a large loving extended family.
He was proceeded in death by Kelsey Hill, Charles Caywood, Gunnar Hill, Trigger Hill, Esme Caywood, and Weston Caywood.
Charles and Kelsey would like to extend their deepest gratitude to his family that have always supported Stetson and his wonderful caregivers for their endless dedication and love.
