Shannon Scasta

Shannon Scasta passed from this life to his heavenly home on October 20, 2021, at the age of 48. Shannon was born in Wichita, Kansas on October 29, 1972, to Landa Mowery and Glen Wilson Sr. His older sister Teresa Vela took on the role of raising Shannon in his adolescent years. He attended and graduated from Hearne High School Class of 1992 where he met countless friends who became his family.  He married Lora Villalpando Scasta, September 5, 1998. They have three children. Rheagan Scasta, Trevor Scasta, and Jenna Scasta. Shannon loved his dog Chuy, his cows and any other animal that showed up at the place! He also enjoyed running, reading, podcasts, Texas Longhorns, bonfires, pumpkin carving and a good whiskey. But most of all he loved his precious family. Shannon was a hard worker, most of the time having at least three jobs. Shannon had a gift for writing which led him to writing an editorial for the Hearne Democrat making him a local celebrity which he humbly denied. Shannon was employed by Honeywell Chemicals in Bryan Tx and owned/operated Scasta Lawn Care with his son, Trevor.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Landa Mowery and Glen Wilson Sr. He is survived by his wife Lora, his 3 children, Rheagan and significant other Ramon, Trevor Scasta and Jenna Scasta and one granddaughter on the way. His siblings, Glen Wilson Jr., Teresa and Gilbert Vela, Rob and Lisa Moran, Jay Moran, and Raymond and Kim Tidwell. His nieces, Ashley Kimich and Amanda McCulloch, and nephew, Justin Kleiber who were very special and dear to his heart.
