Laura Valtierra

May 30, 1967 — May 8, 2025

Calvert

Laura was born May 30,1967, in Irapuato, Guanajuato Mexico to Jose Ramirez and Maria Juana Carmen Anaya. She was the second oldest of six siblings, 2 brothers and 3 sisters- both brothers predeceased.

As a young teen she was a hard worker to help her family where needed. She enjoyed going to the catholic church in her town where she would sing with the choir.

Laura met her husband Andres in the same town of Irapuato. That is where their romance sparked and a few months after they started dating they decided to elope together in 1985. A year after they married and moved to Bryan, Texas, their oldest child Arcadio was born in 1986. They moved back to Mexico for some years and in Tijuana, Mexico their youngest Veronica was born in 1993. Their little family of four was complete, after some years Laura and Andres decided to put roots down in a quaint home in Calvert, Texas. Laura and Andres shared her beautiful and delicate life together for 40 years.

Laura had an effect in people's lives with her kindness and careness towards others. While living in Calvert or attending the word of God in churches she would go to, she made many kind friends along the way that admired and loved her dearly. She would worry about others even when she herself would not feel well sometimes. Laura was truly the type of person to give one's shirt off their backs if you needed it.

She made sure her home was filled with love and warmth for her family. She was a homemaker and raised her children with the word of god and to always be grateful and to pray to him when things are hard and to never wish bad upon others. Laura had a heart big enough not only for her immediate family, but for her parents, siblings, in-laws, nephews, nieces, and dear friends.

Her husband, children, and most dear to her heart, her grandchildren were her pride and joy. God truly blessed us with such a strong, loving, gental, virtuous, kind mother and friend.

She is survived by her husband , 2 children, 1 daughter-in-law, and 5 grandchildren.

On behalf of the Valtierra family, we truly thank you all for coming.
