Juan "Johnny" Villalpando

Juan “Johnny” Villalpando was born February 16, 1967, to Olga and Eduardo Villalpando in Calvert Texas. In his younger years Johnny enjoyed riding motorcycles, living life and being free. 
He married Anita, February 15, 1992, and from this he raised two sons, Christopher and Patrick. He enjoyed many of life’s “small things” such as fishing, Texas Longhorn football, chickens, growing watermelons, driving trucks, riding bikes, Sanford and Son, and a good laugh. He was a hard worker, he enjoyed anything that kept him outside and making a dollar. He was a man that either had a good deal or a bad deal but he always had a deal. 
    Johnny was good at being the “tough guy” in the room. Many knew he could be that but everyone knew he had a good heart. He loved his wife, kids, and grandkids very much. His family and friends were everything to him. He called all of the guys “Big Baby”, but to us he was our own Big Baby, brother, uncle and friend.
    On November 23, 2023, the Lord called him home. In the end, Johnny showed the world he was the fighter we all knew. He fought his illness until the last seconds of his time on Earth. As a family, we know that he would want us to express his abundant gratitude for all of the gestures, thoughts, and prayers.
    Johnny is proceeded in death by his parents Rita and Eduardo Villalpando and brother Benito Villalpando, Sr.
    Johnny is survived by his wife Anita Villalpando, son Christopher and Balie Villalpando of Granbury, Texas, son Patrick and Anita Berlan of Hearne, Texas, sister Patsy and Jeff Carroll of Gause, Texas, sister Mary and Oscar Solis of Rockport, Texas, brother Bobby Villalpando of Gause, Texas, sister in law Connie Villalpando of Hearne, Texas, grandchildren Hagen and Fansi Berlan, Mason and John Villalpando, and Lynlee Lockridge. Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  
    A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 28th, 2023, at 11am at Memorial Funeral Home located at 802 S. Market St. in Hearne, Texas. There will be NO public Graveside service. Those attending the funeral are welcome to attend the Celebration of Life, held after services at the Pony Express in Hearne.
