Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Mary (Elledge) Deal.

He is survived by a daughter, Suzanne (Thomas) Heath; a son, Jimmie (Connie) Deal Jr.; three grand children, Clara Heath, Thomas Heath Jr., Emily Deal; and several cousins
