James Wilburn Dixon

James Wilburn Dixon, 76, of Franklin Texas, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2023.

His beautiful blue eyes and sweet smile will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

James was born on August 1, 1946 to Ernest Wilburn and Marie A. Rodgers Dixon in Cherokee County, Texas.

After graduating from high school James joined the Army and served in Viet Nam.

During this time he married Donna Lucretia Holliday, and they had one child, Mark James Dixon.

James worked for Phillips 66 as an Oil Refinery operator, and retired after 30 years.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Lucretia Dixon; father and mother; brothers, Albert Wayne Dixon and Clarence Ray Dixon; and a sister, Wanda Charlene (Dixon) Hall.

He is survived by his son, Mark Dixon; brother, Roy Dixon, and other family.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 14, at Memorial Funeral Home, 802 S. Market St. in Hearne, Texas.

Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1307 S.
Magnolia, Hearne, Texas.
