James Thomas Briggs, 95, was born in Groesbeck, Texas on June 11, 1928, and passed away peacefully at his home in Hearne, Texas on April 17, 2024.

James is survived by his 5 living children, William "Randy" Briggs, Pamela "Pam" Briggs, Tommy "Tom" Briggs, Sharon Briggs and Lisa Walker, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his son, Michael "Mike" Briggs, his parents and his siblings.

James was a Christian, a loving father, trusted friend & a World War veteran. He served in the US Navy in WW ll.

He was a hard-working carpenter, loved to farm, garden and lend a hand when called upon.

His strength, generosity, and kindness will live on in our hearts.
