Frank Montelongo

Frank Montelongo went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2026.

He was born on October 4, 1949 to his parents, Damcio and Ambrosia Montelongo in Hearne, Texas.

Frank married the love of his life, Janie, on November 25, 1967 and together they spent 54 wonderful years until her passing on September 15, 2022. Frank stayed by her side while she battled 20 years of cancer. He drove her to all of her appointments, loaded her into the car by himself and stayed by her side through her cancer treatment. He loved being next to her, it was his happiest place to be.

He was a simple man and stayed to himself, he liked to take road trips with his wife and go to car races. He loved taking his nieces and nephews to get ice cream and take the back roads while they rode in the bed of his truck. He loved a good margarita and a cold Busch Light.

He worked at Derek Scott for many years and was a very talented mechanic, everyone trusted him and requested him by name. He worked there for many years, being a mechanic was his pride and that is the only trade he ever knew.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, his 1 sister, Isabell Montelongo and his sister-in-law, Bernarda Perales and her husband Jose.
