Dustin Taylor

January 3, 1986 — May 11, 2025

Dustin was born on January 3rd, 1986, in Houston TX.

He is known as Dusty by family and friends.

Dustin is survived by his two children, Daughter Isabella Taylor, Son Dawson Taylor, Mother Tammy Neal, Father David Taylor, Sister Tracy Taylor, Two Nieces Faith Miles / Kinsley McDermand, Grandmother / Grandfather Betty and Donald Taylor, Grandmother Sharon Fuentes, Grandfather Kenneth Wright, Aunts Bonnie Schumann / Tonya Parmer / Mandy Richard / Christina Fuentes, Uncles Kenny Wright / Ricky Taylor. Along with additional extended Aunts, Uncles and several cousins.

He was a good Father that loved his two children very much. His best friend was his black Labrador named Kacey that he raised from a pup. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and target shooting along with competitive shooting.

Dustin was the type of person that if someone called him needing help or needing something fixed, he would stop what he was doing and go take care of them.

At the age of 12 Dustin joined the Liberty County 4H shooting club and competed at county matches throughout Texas competing in American Skeet, Trap and 5 Stand Clays. He became one of the top competitors when he arrived at these matches winning several trophies with several of them representing 1st place and multiple HOA’s. A year later he signed up for a week-long yearly training camp in Texas to learn how to shoot International Skeet which is extremely more difficult than American skeet. Due to his marksmanship, he received an invitation to go to the US Olympic training center located in Colorado Springs for a training camp which had the Olympic shooting coaches provide training and would observe those who attended. A year later he received a second invitation and was placed on the US Junior Olympic team and then a year after that he was advanced to the US Development team which he traveled with the US Olympic team to Germany to compete at a world event. He made several friends throughout the shooting community.
