Carolyn Ann Lucas (Bomnskie) entered into the arms of the Lord on April 11th, 2025.
Carolyn was born in Houston, Texas on November 17th, 1943, the daughter of Minnie and Henry Kizer Bomnskie & Granddaughter of William L. & Lucy Elizabeth (Blazek) Luther.
Carolyn’s first marriage was to Charles (Tom) Andrus on May 5th, 1961, with whom she had 4 children: Debbie, Charles, Brenda, and Michael.
Caroyln’s second marriage was to Bill Lucas with whom she had 2 children: Robert and Brian.
In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid reader. A good murder-mystery wouldn’t last 2 days in her hands.
She loved her Coca-Cola, ducks and QVC. If you knew her, you know she always had a Coca-Cola in her hand, duck decorations all over her house and boxes of jewelry & nick-nacks from QVC.
All of her Grandchildren have some sort of gift from “Grandma Carol” whether it’s a blue blanket, a necklace, a bracelet or a ring.
She will forever be followed by hospital grilled chicken and the playing the number 2 card in every card game! (Inside joke that mom always cracked up about).
In her working career she was a caretaker, she loved each and every person she cared for like they were family, and her love and warmth impacted many lives.
She will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind.
She is preceded in death by her Grandparents, both parents, her sister Linda and brother Johnny, as well as Charles Andrus Sr. and Bill Lucas.
She is survived by her brother Kenneth Bomnskie. Daughter Debbie and her husband Bert Lindquist. Son Charles and daughter Brenda. Son Michael and his wife Mary Andrus. Son Robert, Son Brian and his wife Becky Lucas. As well as 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the few people that helped Mother in her last days. The staff at Legacy Nursing & Rehabilitation and the nursing staff at St. Joseph’s CCU unit. Also, a very big thank you to Haley Davila with Allumine Health & Hospice. Thank you for the care and compassion you showed Mother in her last days.
