Alvin Glenn Luster

Alvin Glenn Luster went to be with the Lord on June 15, 2026, at the age of 79.

Glenn was born February 14, 1947, to Harold Holman and Mary Lavenia Luster in San Antonio, Texas.

He married his true love Mary Louise Reistino Luster in 1964, together they shared 62 years of marriage and had 3 children, Phillip, Ben and Tony Joe.

A hardworking entrepreneur, Glenn learned this skill of meat cutting at the young age of 14 and it became his lifelong profession for over 40 years, along side owning and operating several local businesses.

Outside of his work, Glenn was a man who appreciated life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. Whenever the family got together, he was happiest firing up the grill to BBQ for everyone he loved. In his downtime, you could often find him tinkering and working on lawnmowers or resting in his favorite recliner, drifting off to sleep to the sound of his favorite country songs.

He was preceded in death by his son Tony Joe Luster, his parents, Harold and Mary Luster, sister, Nelda Pelton, Nieces, Mary Ann and Randi Kay and his nephew, Harold Luster.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Mary, his 2 sons, Philip and his wife Carolyn, Ben and his wife Anne, his sister Sue and her husband Marvin, his brother Harold and his wife Joan, his grandchildren Brandon and his wife Lauren, Destiny and her husband Alonzo, Joey and Harli, his great grandchildren, Briana, Journee, Ayden, Harmony and Jaxstyn and so many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will be at The Family Life Center, 105 West Davis Street, Hearne, Texas, 77859, on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 PM, with Dana Altimore officiating.
